The Joker
Fools are for love. They are innocent of guile or malice.
Dangerous also, it is possible for fools to be careless, misled or bewildered, but the moral compass of this card is strong. Not just a misfit, the Joker is useful and sometimes necessary. Unincorporated into culture enough to see it differently, a society's myths and taboos are broken or revealed by them in fundamental ways. Sometimes cautiously bardic, as in the court Jester; sometimes criminal, as with pirates; sometimes adopted as code by social circles for survival and play, like harlequin by homosexual communities: fools are wild because they are persuasively subversive.
Ten of Diamonds
The Wheel of Fortune is a graduation of perspective. Away from the rim of the ever-turning wheel to the center, this describes a shared space. Considerations here are made for all. The Ten of Diamonds is the family home, the gathering place. This is a card of grave responsibility.
Three of Hearts
Earth is the third planet. With a surface of more than two-thirds Water, Earth is the densest known planet in the solar-system. Our only known source of life, food, breathable Air and drinkable Water, the terrain of our home is essential to Earthlings.
The World is bounteous. Verdant life emerges generously. There is a great wealth of joy and affection. Kindness abounds.
A great tree expands beyond sight, encasing our world.
Two of Spades
Spin expresses a coiling influence. Each duality is both balancing and endlessly expressible. A black hole may have a surrounding spiral galaxy relative to its mass in the same way an atom may have a certain number of buffering electrons in proportion to its nucleic protons.
Self-Reliance is the virtue employed when compromise would threaten our integrity. When an operating principle of the space we are in does not beneficially reflect us, a level of physical, emotional, or spiritual isolation becomes necessary to maintain self-respect. This is our ability to nurture ourselves in the face of scarcity, hostility or solitude.
Queen of Clubs
Mind is the keeper of posterity, medicine and prophecy. When first forming, vertebrates grow brains and spinal columns to communicate themselves to the developing bodies. This continuum of dialogue is non-binary, as the brain is one of many vital body parts, but it is itself a hemispheric processor.
The Hierophant is the key holder. She can be consulted for advice. Having unique access to traditional customs, stories and ceremonies, she has singular perspective.
Queen of Diamonds
Matter, the Queen of Diamonds, is sheltered by stalactites.
The disdyakis triacontahedron, or truncated icosidodecahedron, is the icosahedral Catalan solid. The rhombic triacontahedron's kleetope adds four scalene triangles to each face.
Queen of Hearts
Electromagnetism is part of a larger spectrum along which energy may condense into matter.
The High Priestess holds balance between light and darkness, where color is possible.
Queen of Spades
Fusion brings parts together into a whole. Through stellar nucleosynthesis, the dense matter of the known universe has been created. In sexual reproduction, the unification of two creates a wider range of genetic flexibility and resilience.
Strength is the diverse array from oppositional to cooperative views that it takes to be versed. To be strong, we must be able to face adversity with better premises or surrender them.
